Audition For ‘Art’ by Yasmina Reza

Thank you for your interest in ‘Art’! We will be holding the first round of auditions from the 29th of August-1st of September. If you are thinking of auditioning, please fill out this form so that we can get to know you a bit better beforehand!

Our auditions will happen in two formats: a more normal 15-minute individual audition where we will ask you to read one of the linked monologues and a side from one of the duologues (memorization not required!); or a group audition-rehearsal-workshop thing where we will work through some of the duologues. Have a look in the audition packet for more information about both formats/why we’re doing this and loads more stuff about the show!

You can sign up for an individual audition at any of the times listed below (you have to be signed in/create an account on YCA to see the slots) and these will happen in Bass L70!

Because of demand we’ve changed the group audition slot on Tuesday to individual auditions (7-8:30). We have also added slots on Monday 5th (8:30-10).

To sign up for the two group slot (Thursday 1st 8:30-10pm) please add yourself to this google sheet - these will happen in the Silliman Dance Studio. If you can only make part of the session, just put a note! If none of the times work for you, please reach out to our incredible Stage Manager, KaLa (kala.keaton@yale.edu), and we’ll figure it out!

We will also be holding an audition workshop on Monday the 29th of September from 2-3pm in Bass L70 (with the option of joining on this zoom). We will talk about the audition process, our plans for the production and answer any questions you might have. Attendance is highly optional and won’t affect your audition on our end in any way but we’re excited to see old and new faces, so you’re more than welcome to just come along and said hi!!
