After her family dies in a car accident, Agnes Evans is adrift in life, uncertain of how to move on. But when she stumbles across her totally weird teenage sister Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she is given a new opportunity to understand Tilly—and herself—as she journeys through the high fantasy world her sister created. By getting to know the people in Tilly’s life, both imaginary and real, Agnes comes to understand the hopes, fears, and dreams at the heart of her sister’s life, and learns how to live her own. Plus, the show has demonic cheerleaders, sisterly sass, terrifying monsters, and a healthy dose of 90s pop culture – all adding up to a story that honors the outcast and the hero inside of everyone.
