MOVEMENT is Yale’s first and only Korean pop and open-style dance group. Founded in 2018, we are dedicated to fostering a welcoming community for those interested in exploring the complexity of Korean pop choreography that spans many styles, genres, and cultures. At the end of each semester, MOVEMENT holds a showcase to highlight the diversity of our dancers and their interests — we have dancers who have been training for years and dancers who began dancing in college; we feature heels choreography, hip hop, waacking, vogue; and we perform duo pieces and large group pieces. As we pass our fifth anniversary, we hope we can continue to learn, grow, and create high-quality performances for the Yale and greater New Haven community.
