Souled Out
by A Musical Revue
‘Souled Out’ is a musical review featuring the grooving music of 1960s and 1970s soul artists such as Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Bill Withers, Gladys Knight, Minnie Riperton, Stevie Wonder, and more. Combining dance and theater with these revolutionary sounds, the show will highlight a piece of musical history that led the Civil Rights Movement demanding justice, cried out for peace during Vietnam, and carried the nation into a new era of musical expression. Filled with riffs, screams, shouts, and growls, ‘Souled Out’ will showcase raw soul music at its best, bringing a fresh, unique theatrical approach to the Yale stage.
