Sam Tucker-Smith is a composer and lyricist.
He studied with and was mentored by Steven Lutvak (composer/co-lyricist of the Tony-winning Best Musical A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder and the upcoming Alfred Hitchcock Presents) for three-and-a-half years. He is now writing a musical with National Book Award finalist and NYT-bestselling author / playwright Ali Benjamin (The Thing About Jellyfish, The Smash-Up). That musical, Isaac in Motion, will premiere in a staged concert reading at Yale at the end of the fall semester.
He is also a music director, arranger, and pianist, and is employed as an accompanist for the Shen curriculum.
