West Side Story

by Arthur Laurents, Leonard Bernstein, and Stephen Sondheim

West Side Story Poster

West Side Story transports the story of Romeo and Juliet to the New York City of the early 1960s, overtaken by conflict between two gangs, the Jets and the Sharks. The love story of Tony and Maria interweaves with the lives of those in their community, coming to life through exuberant dance and beautiful music.

This production will aim to bring new life to this familiar story by using new choreography, a diverse cast, and an intimate feel to focus on how the musical’s exploration of youth, immigration, love, and violence can still resonate today.
