Audition For Oedipus

In the September casting cycle, we will be casting the principal characters (who do not sing). The Chorus will be cast at a later date. 

In your audition, you will read one of two auditions monologue from Oedipus (one for the character of Oedipus, the other for Jocasta – do not worry about the apparent gender identities of these two characters; actors of all genders can be considered for all roles). The monologues need not be memorized. This audition should be low-stress and fun! We may ask you to make an adjustment to the monologue and try it again, or to try a different monologue.

Please arrive to your audition 5-10 minutes early, since we will have an audition form for you to fill out prior to your audition. We look forward to your audition! Please contact jack.mcauliffe@yale.edu with any questions. 

Auditions will be held in 220 York Street. On Thursday 8/29, we will be in Room 100, and on Saturday 9/1, we will be in Room 001.
