Pippin

A Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies Thesis Production

by Music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, book by Roger O. Hirson

Pippin

Come one, come all! This evening, for your pleasure, we present a most miraculous tale. Somewhere between the Middle Ages, 1972, and today, our players gather to tell the story of young prince Pippin, a recent college grad who longs to find his corner of the sky. Beckoned along the torturous path of self-discovery by the Leading Player, he will try on the parts of soldier, king, farmer, revolutionary, and more, all to a score by Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Wicked). Join us to witness a hero’s journey… with a climax you will remember for the rest of your lives.
