While this is a one-man show, we will be auditioning the role of the COP. Written as a voice recording originally in the 80s when the piece premiered, we are moving the show and its technology to the present day, and will be filming these segments as clips of interrogation videos. These will be filmed prior to the production, precise timeline TBD.
We are interested in casting two cops for these interrogation videos. We welcome actors of all ethnicities and genders to audition for these roles.
The sides for each of the Cop interrogations is attached, you will read them individually with Gilberto during auditions, and be paired with potential partners during callbacks. Please note that in order to assess how the performances read on screen, your auditions and callbacks will be videotaped.
You have to be logged in to the YDC website to view the audition slots. This means you should create an account and a biography if you have not already done so! If you have recently logged into the site for the first time, click on the ‘My Account’ link in the top right, add your biography, fill in the “Full Name” text box, and write in any other information you wish to include. Including your full name in your biography allows us to view who has signed up for which audition time slot.
Please arrive at the designated time for your slot. Your audition will be within the hour, although we will most likely email you a more precise audition time as the date gets closer. Auditions on 09/01 will be located in the 220 York Chapter Room, and auditions on 09/02 will be located in the 220 York Ballroom.
