Audition for Red Hot Poker!

Let us start by saying that we are already obsessed with you. You are choosing to audition for Yale’s sketch comedy group in the middle of a global pandemic. That. Is. Hot. 

So here’s what we need from you:

1. Choose 1 of the 5 pre-written audition sketches linked below to film and send to us. You will notice that there are sketches consisting of 1-3 people. The choice is yours! Have fun with it. There are no rules. 

2. Fill out the audition form. This isn’t the ACT/SAT, so get creative! Or don’t! We want to see YOU!

3. Film a 10-20 second video of yourself reciting ANY tiny segment of memorized text as any character you desire. I’m talking twinkle twinkle, happy birthday, shakespeare, pi, literally WHATEVER you want! We already love you, so let us see your beautiful, creative selves. 

4. Anything else you’d like to share? This is optional and completely open. Perhaps you wrote a funny tweet. Maybe you are a tik tok fiend. Maybe you already write sketch comedy. Or make stop motion videos. Or draw comics. Or carve politically motivated butter sculptures. We’re bored of zoom! Let us live a little!

That’s it! So easy, so low stakes, so fun! Submit all videos to this dropbox link. We’ll be accepting submissions from Sunday, August 23rd to Monday, September 7th!
