The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Jay Presson Allen
The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie takes place at an all-girls school in 1930s Edinburgh. It follows a brilliant, unconventional teacher––Jean Brodie––and the four students in whom she sees great potential, as well as the two men vying for her love. Over the course of the play, Brodie becomes entangled in the girls’ private lives, and seems, ultimately, to be using them as pawns in an attempt to advance her own personal life and relationships.
