Ground/Work
by Federal Project 891
Senior project in Theater Studies for Mike Leibenluft and Danielle Frimer.Federal Project 981 is a collaborative of performers, writers, and designers that will create an original piece based on the Federal Theatre Project, a New Deal program during the Great Depression that produced America’s first and only national theater. We will draw inspiration from the story of the project’s founder, Hallie Flanagan, as well as from one of the initiative’s landmark productions, Marc Blitzstein’s THE CRADLE WILL ROCK, to create an original biographical, historical, and musical theater piece.
