Richard III
by William Shakespeare
Monster. Cripple. Liar. Outcast. King. From the ashes of civil war rises a new leader: Richard III. Savage yet sophisticated, demonic yet seductive, dictator and anarchist, Richard seizes the throne and bathes an already ravaged land in blood. In a production both modern and ancient, Goth and Visigoth, we will present Richard in all of his terrible contradictions, a villain for his own time and for our own. All cast and crew must be enrolled in Theater Studies 433/English 211, which meets Monday/Wednesday 11:35-12:50.
