Over Dinner

A senior thesis film for the fulfillment of the production concentration in Film&Media Studies

A woman revisits her bad childhood over Thanksgiving dinner, attempting to get her mother to acknowledge her perceived unkindness towards her and apologize.  It’s a darkish comedy with a three person cast, taking place over the course of one evening in an apartment. It’s loosely based on my own family and references films like Grey Gardens (the HBO fiction film) and August: Osage County.

It will likely be filmed over the first week of spring break in NYC over 4-5 days. It is likely that housing will be provided for the crew for the duration of production.
