Le nozze di Figaro

ossia la folle giornata

by W.A. Mozart

Poster of Le nozze di Figaro

The Opera Theatre of Yale College will perform Mozart’s beloved comedy “The Marriage of Figaro” in Harkness Auditorium at the Yale Medical School. This exciting collaboration with the Tiny Baroque Orchestra of Pierson College presents Mozart in 18th century historically informed style, using gut strings and period singing. Director Janna Baty sets the action in Edwardian England, highlighting the story’s themes of class and privilege. The all-star cast of Yale’s operatic undergrads is not to be missed!Beau Gabriel conducts. Lisa Zhang will sing the Countess, and Bryce Wiatrak the Count. Andy Berry stars in the title role, and Marisa Karchin is Susanna. Also with Ashby Cogan, Terrence Chin-Loy, Sylvia Leith, and Brad Travis. And choreography by the wonderful Madeleine Duff. ADMISSION IS FREE! Reserve tickets below.
