Gertrude Stein’s Doctor Faustus Lights the Lights, a modern retelling of the Faust legend written in 1938, is an avant-garde masterpiece. Written to be an opera libretto but never officially given a score, Doctor Faustus Lights the Lights is a fusion of performance, composition, and design; it will serve as a Senior Project in Production Design for Ryan Seffinger and a Senior Project in Music for Emil Ernström. This piece neccesitates movement, voice, and a deep sense of exploration. Join us.
