In Girls Who Golf, a high school varsity golf team competes at the Missouri state championship. As the older girls wait for their fifth player, dark horse Clem, to finish her round, secrets bubble to the surface – Grace’s dubious integrity, Ava and Brigitte’s summer affair, and the dads’ aversion to outsiders – all culminating in an explosive scandal.

In Desert Island, almost-best friends Theseus and Maurice are stranded on a desert island. While hoping for a sign of rescue, they face off against a coconut tree (the voice of God, or a tangible danger to Maurice?), wrestle in shark-infested waters, ponder the foundations of faith (the desire to be loved?), and ultimately find a sense of meaning in life.
