Circe

Synopsis: Trapped in the banality of days spent butchering the lambs that her father and brother, Nico, routinely hunt, Agnes’s thoughts drift endlessly to Esther, the first of many girls to vanish from her rural town. As Agnes begins to question the violence woven into her world and the weight of her own permanence within it, she is pulled into the lingering mystery of Esther and the possibility of escape. But the closer she gets to the truth, the further she finds herself slipping away from the life she’s always known.
