The Bug Ballet

The Bug Ballet is a playful and haunting adaptation of The Bug Book, a novella by celebrated illustrator and designer Edward Gorey. A colony of insects encounter a stranger in their neighborhood; despite half-hearted attempts at friendly relations, it is not a success…The company, led by Professor Jeanine Tesori alongside director, choreographer and Yale alumnus Thomas Kannam, features talent from across Yale’s undergraduate and professional schools. Set to the iconic musical suite Le Carnaval des animaux, this new work is a grim and strangely witty study of our fear of the other.
