The Cinemat offers a variety of ways for student filmmakers to engage with, learn from, and work with each other. Offerings include:
- Biannual 24-hour Film Festival
- Hands-on production opportunities to apply skills learned in workshops
- Community building events, including trivia nights, meet and greets, screenings, and more
- Promotional, financial, technical, and material support for film productions on campus
- A Fro-Film curriculum, specifically mentoring first-years through pre-production, production, and post
- Workshops on a variety of technical and artistic film skills. Previous workshops include How to Produce a Short Film, Special Effects Makeup, Colorgrading, Pre-production, Creative Resume Building, Consent and Care in Filmmaking, Editing, and many more.
