CAST AND CREW CALL for June - a Senior Thesis Film
June is a Senior Thesis Film Written and Directed by Charlotte Hylinski. It follows June, our reserved and mysterious protagonist as she navigates grief and tries to move on from something that has been holding her back.
This project will adhere to Yale’s Covid 19 guidelines and safety protocols. Shooting will take place in New Haven over October 20-24th (Yale’s Fall Break).
Audition dates:
Thursday, September 23rd 6-9 pm
Friday, September 24th 1-4 pm
Sunday, September 26th 4-6 pm

Auditions will not be for the individual roles - you will read through all June/Gigi/Michelle or Oscar/Max (or all five characters, if you’d like, as casting will be gender-inclusive) and you will audition with the materials at the bottom of this post.
June: female, mid-twenties (casting college age)
Our protagonist is reserved, mysterious, and lost. She spends her free time at the graveyard, as she tries to get over something that has been holding her back.
Gigi: female, mid-twenties (casting college age)
June’s best friend and roommate, Gigi is spunky and exuberant. She is the life of the party and brings an effortless sense of energy to every room she enters.
Michelle: female, mid-twenties (casting college age)
June’s other best friend and roommate, Michelle is sophisticated, high-maintenance, and extroverted. She’s snappy but always has her friend’s best interests at heart.
Oscar: male, mid-twenties (casting college age)
Oscar, one of June’s potential love interests, is charming, handsome, and equally mysterious. Could he be the one?
Max: male, mid-twenties (casting college age)
Max, another one of June’s love interests, is cute, nerdy, and awkward. He is endearingly cheesy. Could he be the one?
