OVERMAN: A Rock Opera

The man who killed God, live

by Zeph Siebler

OVERMAN poster

OVERMAN is an original rock opera about the life and work of philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. With a score spanning Strauss to Queen to Radiohead, the piece follows Nietzsche as he transforms himself from backwater preacher’s son into epochal, idol-shattering writer. In the face of a culture gripped by Christianity and sliding slowly into nationalism, Nietzsche’s genius cannot save him from a terrible choice: stand with those closest to him, or stand against the growing sickness.
