Seeking
A Senior Thesis in Women's, Gender, & Sexuality Studies
by Gabby Montuori
An autofictional work for piano and two voices, Seeking follows a mother and child as they navigate the messy, sometimes competing demands of religion, race, sexuality, and parenting as people of color in a predominantly white community. More viscerally, they are two people who so desperately want to love, be loved, and belong in their world.
