Join us on February 18th, in celebration of Black History Month, for a performance and interview with the Black Art Jazz Collective! Founded by renowned saxophonist Wayne Escoffery, who also contributes to the Yale Jazz Initiative, the sextet is dedicated to “preserving the historical significance of African Americans in Jazz”. The event features a performance of a tune composed by Escoffery himself, followed by a interview that explores the creative, philosophical and artistic processes of the band.

Accessible through the Yale Undergraduate Jazz Collective Facebook page.
