YPF Masterclass - Julia Cho

a masterclass in playwriting open to all undergraduates
Julia Cho

The Yale Playwrights Festival is excited to invite you to a masterclass in playwriting with 2020 Windham Campbell drama prize winner Julia Cho.

A native of Los Angeles, Julia Cho is the author of nine plays. Subtle, intimate, and wildly intelligent, Cho’s work explores the power and frailty of human connection—between cultures, between individuals, between generations, between institutions. Her plays include Aubergine, Office Hour, and BFE, among others.

While theater remains remote, we’re hoping to create a space where new and seasoned student playwrights alike can collaborate, generate ideas, play creatively, and learn from professionals.

While the majority of our workshops will be open to all, this one will be limited to 11 students. Preference will be given to Theater & Performance Studies Majors, regardless of enrollment status or writing experience.
