YPF Masterclass - Edwin Sanchez

The Yale Playwrights Festival is excited to invite you to a masterclass in playwriting with Edwin Sanchez!

EDWIN SANCHEZ is the Winner of the National Latino Playwriting Award for La Bella Familia. His recent productions include Unmerciful Good Fortune and Trafficking in Broken Hearts, and world premiere of the romantic comedy I’ll Take Romance. Other productions include Diosa, produced by Hartford Stage after a successful workshop by New York Stage and Film; Unmerciful Good Fortune at the Intar Theater in New York, for which Edwin received the Princess Grace Playwriting Award in 1994; Barefoot Boy with Shoes On at Primary Stages in New York. He was also among the playwrights involved with Brave New World, an organization commemorating the events surrounding September 11th. His debut novel, “Diary of a Puerto Rican Demigod”, is now available at the Drama Book Shop and through Amazon.

While theater remains remote, we’re hoping to create a space where new and seasoned student playwrights alike can collaborate, generate ideas, play creatively, and learn from professionals.

This workshop is open to all students, regardless of major, enrollment status or writing experience.
