What the Constitution Means to Me

A Senior Thesis in Theater, Dance and Performance Studies for Lily Perez

by Heidi Schreck

What the Constitution Means to Me

Fifteen year old Heidi earned her college tuition by winning Constitutional debate competitions across the United States. In this new play, she resurrects her teenage self in order to trace the profound relationship between four generations of women and the founding document that shaped their lives.

Content warnings: What the Constitution Means to Me contains mentions of domestic violence, sexual assault of a minor, and discussions of abortion and its stigmatization.
