Something Extra has earned a reputation as Yale’s finest all-female a cappella ensemble. Our excellence in music has earned us recognition from CASA (Collegiate A Cappella Society of America), as well as praise from other a cappella groups at Yale and elsewhere
ABOUT THE YALE SPIZZWINKS(?)
Founded in 1914, the ‘Winks are the world’s oldest underclassman a cappella group. Since their historic beginning at Mory’s, the Spizzwinks(?) have proudly carried on a tradition of musical excellence and camaraderie. Today, they can be found touring on all six inhabited continents, and performing in excess of one hundred concerts a year. With one eye towards their 107-year history and the other towards the future, the ‘Winks seamlessly fuse tradition and innovation to bring audiences a unique and unforgettable concert experience.
