Ordinary Days

A musical about growing up and enjoying the view

by Adam Gwon

Poster of Ordinary Days

Ordinary Days tells the story of four New York twenty-somethings who are in the midst of dramatic life changes and various stages of development. Deb, a perpetually angry graduate student, loses the notes to her thesis, which sets off a chain of events leading her to Warren, a carefree young man without a “big picture” in mind. Through the lens of art, Warren transforms Deb’s perceptions about the beauty that can be found in everyday life. Meanwhile, Jason moves in with his girlfriend, Claire, and later asks her to marry him. This parallel storyline explores how we cope with grief, move on from our pasts, and come to terms with what we want out of our futures. Throughout, these two groups of people intersect geographically and temporally without actually meeting.
