O, Canada!

Get your skis, pack a toque… we’re going to CANADA!

O, Canada! is a comedy about two siblings who embark on a road trip to Canada in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. They hear rumors that Canada is a safe place, free of the threat of zombies. With nothing to gain from waiting around Florida, they decide to brave the Death Road and travel north.

This is a choose-your-own-adventure play, meaning that every show’s story will be controlled by the audience! There’s a different story every time you play, set in a world that doesn’t take itself too seriously. YOU control and manage a car full of jerks as they explore cities, recruit weird people, argue with each other, and face gigantic swarms of slow zombies.

The interactive components of O, Canada! will be powered by LITE (Live Interactive Theater Engine). LITE is currently being developed as a senior project for CPSC 4900, as the first half of a Computing and the Arts thesis on the TDPS track.   

This show is an homage to and derives heavy inspiration from the video game Death Road to Canada by Rocketcat Games and Madgarden.
