Next to Normal

The Goodmans are a typical American family, yet their lives are anything but normal. Traumatized by the death of her infant son, Diana Goodman has lived with bipolar depressive disorder and delusional episodes for the past seventeen years. The illness has affected everyone in her life, and has nearly torn her family apart on several occasions. Next to Normal takes audiences into the minds and hearts of each character, presenting their family’s story with love, empathy and heart. This show digs deep into the three principal characters’ mental health struggles as they strive to heal.
