Hamlet
by William Shakespeare
Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy of revenge, lust, treachery, generational conflict, and family.
We’re looking to mount an energetic, fast-paced Hamlet through serious engagement with the text and tech-forward storytelling. Our focus will be on the family drama, paying deep attention to the ambitions, passions, and pains of each member of the court of Denmark.
While the principal roles have mostly been filled, we are still looking for additional actors to play a myriad of parts. If you’re interested in performing Shakespeare (even for the first time!) in a fun, focused environment, we’ll be auditioning cast members in the September cycle. If you’d like to audition and there are no slots available or none of the slots work for you, please reach out to casey.tonnies@yale.edu
Hamlet is a big show, so we’re also looking for folks to join our creative team in associate roles to help build the stormy world of Elisnore through light, fabric, sound, and scenery. Our creative team has put on dozens of shows at Yale and would love additional collaborators, whether it’s your first show or fifteenth.
