F*cking Decent

A Senior Project in Theater Studies for Eliana Kwartler

by Holly Hughes, Tim Miller, John Fleck

Poster of F*cking Decent

In the early 1990s, four performance artists had their federal funding revoked by the National Endowment for the Arts on the grounds that their work was obscene. F*cking Decent, a devised solo performance, will restage the works of the NEA 4 to explore obscenity and censorship onstage, then and now. Works used include: “World Without End” by Holly Hughes, “Some Golden States” by Tim Miller, and “Blessed Are All the Little Fishes” by John Fleck. The show is precast, and we will not be holding auditions. We would still love for people to be involved with every other aspect of the production, so please email eliana.kwartler@yale.edu if you are interested in working with us.
