Join the Yale Undergraduate Jazz Collective for an electric night of Jazz fusion music, introduced by Yale professor of musicology Michael Veal. The genre of Jazz fusion, popularized by artists like Miles Davis, Tony Williams, Herbie Hancock, and John McLaughlin (among others) emerged in the late 60’s as a combination of jazz with R&B, rock, and funk styles. This Friday, the Collective invites you to enjoy a sampling of seminal fusion works played by a student band. The concert will take place in the JE theater, with doors opening at 7:30pm and a runtime of about an hour.

Admission to the concert is only available for vaccinated, asymptomatic members of the Yale community.
