Aura | A Medical Narrative Podcast

This project aims to bring narrative skills and creative story-telling into the realm of healthcare. Illness is one of the most universal yet isolating experiences, as it can seem impossible to truly express one’s unique experience with pain and suffering. Especially with the COVID-19 pandemic, patients have felt a sense of isolation like never before — discharge parties, family visits, and even simple physical gestures of solidarity have been rendered impossible due to safety. This podcast serves as a narrative retelling of patient stories whether they are suffering from mental or physical ailments. At one point or another in our lives, we all enter the realm of the sick. Yet, in mainstream media there isn’t enough exposure of what it means to truly experience illness. We look to expose the real-life stories of everyday people, reminding you that connection can be found even in the most difficult of times.
