Saiti grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Back home, Saiti was immensely involved in classical dance, music, cultural shows and dance-dramas. She completed a 8-year course in dance in semi-classical and Kathhak from Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts. She went on to complete an additional 3 year higher diploma course in Manipuri from the same institution under the tutelage of her guru Warda Rihab. In 2015, she came to the US to pursue her undergrad at Columbia University where she joined their classical fusion team Taal. Saiti joined Yale’s department of Biomedical Engineering as a PhD student in 2019, and joined Yale’s classical dance team Kalaa. Since then Saiti has performed in many shows at Yale including Roshni, Dhamaal, Classical Dance Showcase, and Pohela Boishakh.
