From Sodom to Stonewall: The Queer Past Onstage

FROM SODOM TO STONEWALL is a collection of scenes from little-known plays performed by Yale College actors and directors meant to demonstrate how queerness and gayness were performed in earlier times. The scenes were selected by the world-renowned Professor Laurence Senelick, the Fletcher Professor Emeritus of Drama and Oratory at Tufts University, who will add commentary as the evening progresses and take questions afterwards.   Professor Senelick is the author of The Changing Room: Sex, Drag and Theatre and Lovesick: Modernist Plays of Same-sex Love, and a frequent contributor to the Gay & Lesbian Review, in addition to his numerous heralded publications on theatre history.
