Bright College Years Virtual Choir Project

Vintage Bright College Years sheet music cover

Do you miss hearing the sound of Yale’s unofficial alma mater floating through the hallowed halls of Harkness and Sterling? The “Bright College Years” virtual choir project is now open to all members of the Yale community: undergrads, grad students, faculty, staff, administrators alike! While we can’t sing together in person, we can still join together virtually. The Yale community is still as close-knit as ever.

We invite and encourage you to record and submit a video of yourself singing the song (sheet music and links on how and where to submit your video are below) by 11:59 PM on Friday, November 6, 2020. Your video will be virtually stitched together with those of your fellow Yalies to create a performance unlike any other.

The song is traditionally sung by the whole community, so even if you “don’t sing,” you are not just welcome, but highly encouraged, to participate. We want as many members of the Yale community to participate as possible!

We recognize that there are serious issues of equity and accessibility when it comes to projects like these. If, for any reason whatsoever, you are unable to participate in this project due to a lack of access, please email jay.mehta@yale.edu or ben.kramer@yale.edu and we will work with you to find a way!!
