Between Edges and Corners, Within Space and Time

Between Edges and Corners, Within Space and Time is a hybrid exhibition and dance show that aims to explore the temporality of performance and its elusiveness in being captured in a permanent medium, as well as serve as an homage to the joy of performance. Visual artworks will consist of oil portraits of the collaborators and charcoal movement studies made in rehearsal. The dance show itself will be a result of heavy collaboration with the dancers, and reflective of their personal journeys with movement. The performance will likely be held within the gallery space such that the artworks and the performance can be in conversation with one another.

We are seeking dancers who are ready to be deeply involved in a collaborative project and are willing to be involved in creating unique choreography as well. In short, we are seeking collaborators more so than passive participants. You must be willing to have your likeness captured in artwork.

Venue and performance date are TBD–likely in mid April.
